A Victory for Haiti
Haiti is the poorest nation of the western hemisphere. Survival on a per capita annual income of less than $500 is a daily battle; some survive, many do not. Haiti suffers economically, but spiritual poverty is just as debilitating. A victorious break-up of the devil's playground came August 14, 1997. After much fasting and praying, thousands of Haitians, led by Bishop Joel R. Jeune in a bold act of faith, marched to the site where Haiti was once dedicated to the devil 200 years ago. The devil was cursed, the Lord's Supper was celebrated, and victory declared!
Bishop Joel and Madame Doris Jeune
Bishop Joel and Madame Doris. Jeune are the founders and directors of the Haiti Love and Faith Girls Home (also known as the Love of Jesus Children's Home).
Bishop Joel Rameau Jeune was born July 13th 1948, in the southeast part of Haiti. He attended and graduated at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. He has been involved in pastoral ministry and educational, humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors for over 37 years, displaying great leadership and program development. He is the founder and executive director of Grace International, Inc., founded in 1974 in Haiti. It is a registered 501c (3) in the State of Florida and based in Miami. Grace International oversees more than 270 churches, over 65 schools and various learning centers, 3 orphanages, feeding programs, medical clinics, a children’s hospital, a home for the elderly and seasonal leadership seminars, conferences and events.
Bishop Jeune is also the founder and leader of the Christian Economic Revolution International, a movement working to improve the economies and social standards of impoverished countries.
Further accolades that he has received include a Visionary Leadership Award from World Missions Center, candidacy for an Honorary Doctorate from St. Thomas University, and he is currently on the board of trustees for the International Third World Leaders Association (ITWLA, a United Nations-NGO).
Doris Jeune was born in 1954 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, after several abortion attempts by her parents. Having survived the multiple attempts on her life, she was given to be raised at the Sunshine Home at the age of five days old where she saw first-hand the life of a child without parents. At the age of 14, she began working on the administrative board of the very orphanage that had taken her in. After high-school, she studied in several trades including administration, nursing aid, and continued working as an administrator at the Sunshine Home. At the age of 18, she married Pastor Joel R. Jeune and began a new chapter of her long life of leadership and service to society.
Having seen much poverty, suffering, and lack as a child and a worker in the orphanage, she already knew what was needed to start implementing change in the society around her. Her compassion towards children in need has been a major driving force in many of her accomplishments. After the birth of her fourth son, Doris and her husband decided to start an orphanage for girls. They later added an orphanage for boys and gained supervision over the Sunshine Home.
Currently, Doris Jeune is the Vice-President and Director of Operations for Grace International, Inc. In this position, she has managed the oversight and operations of 275 churches, 65 schools, 3 orphanages, medical clinics, and a children’s hospital. She is also the acting Haiti Branch Officer for End-Time Handmaidens International. She is the co-host of a nationally aired Haitian television program and is works closely with Grace International’s media department. She hosts seasonal and annual women’s conferences with thousands in attendance where women attend and get empowered for better living. Mrs. Jeune also organizes yearly Christmas programs and distributes thousands of toys to orphans, at-risk and underserved children all over the country of Haiti.
